“No one calls for justice,
Nor does any plead for truth.
They trust in empty words and speak lies;
They conceive evil and bring forth iniquity.
5 They hatch vipers’ eggs and weave the spider’s web;
He who eats of their eggs dies,
And from that which is crushed a viper breaks out.”
Almost everyne attempts to balance the risk of being caught against the perceived benefits of lying. These days it is nearly impossible to tell when some people are lying if you do not have the discernment to atleast suspect when a person might be …
With children lying many times comes easy, and you cannot always tell which of their stories are in fact true. Seems much of the time that they do nto even know they are lying.
Jeremiah 7:28 says “So you shall say to them, ‘This is a nation that does not obey the voice of the Lord their God nor receive correction. Truth has perished and has been cut off from their mouth.”
Many businesses, especially corporations and big parma companies display an amazing creativeness in camouflaging deceit when advertising their products. We see everywhere just how deceptive individuals and organizations can be without attracting lawsuits or losing a cunsumer base.

So long as the Israelites were distracted by the service of many gods, such unity was impossible; but now, when they shall have taken away the abominations from the land, they shall be united in heart to serve the true God.
As we see in our country, but blindly ignore the division on so many matters of both political and godly issues. The hearts of men are unnaturally hardened by terrible events and tragedies only the powers of evil could concieve …
The pious captives in Babylon were insulted by the Jews who continued in Jerusalem; but God made gracious promises to them. It is promised, that God will give them one heart; a heart firmly fixed for God, and not wavering. All who are made holy have a new spirit, a new temper and dispositions. They act from new principles, walk by new rules, and aim at new ends. A new name, or a new face, will not serve without a new spirit.

He will make their hearts tender and fit to receive impressions: this is God’s work, it is His gift by promise and a wonderful, happy change is wrought by it, from death to life. Tho, not before the coming darkness filled with harsh trials and bloodshed …
Their practices shall be agreeable to those principles. These two must and will go together. When the sinner feels his need of these blessings he will present the promises as prayers in the name of Christ and they will be performed.
