I will betroth you to Me forever; yes, I will betroth you to Me in righteousness and justice, in loving kindness and mercy;
After these judgments the Lord would deal with Israel more gently. By the promise of rest in Jesus we are invited to take His yoke upon us so the work of conversion can be forwarded by comforts as well as by convictions.
Nowadays we are more concerned with conversion rates and costs than we are with the betterment of our self and the cost of our souls …
But usually the Lord drives us to despair of earthly joy and help from ourselves, that, being shut from every other door, we will knock at Mercy’s gate. In too many cases today, we see people turning a blind eye to God’s calling and they seek other methods of distraction and satisfaction …
From that time Israel would be more truly attached to the Lord; no longer calling him Baali, or My lord and master, alluding to authority rather than love, but Ishi, an address of affection.
This may foretell the restoration from the Babylonian captivity; and also be applied to the conversion of the Jews to Christ in the days of the apostles and the future general conversion of that nation.
Genuine believers are able to expect infinitely more tenderness and kindness from their holy God, than a beloved wife can expect from even the kindest husband.
When the people were weaned from idols and loved the Lord, no creature could do them any harm.
This should be understood of the blessings and privileges of the spiritual Israel, of the true believer, and the partaking of God’s righteousness.
Here is an argument for us to walk so that God may not be dishonored by us: “Thou art My people.” God calls us His children …
If a man’s family walks disorderly, it is a dishonor to the Master.
Does anyone else anywhere see the distorted selfies and added media to faces as insulting to God? As we are made in His image …
At first I wondered if it was my own vanity since I did not like people doing it with my pictures, however that is just not the case.
The act in itself is a vain atrocity. As far as I’m concerned it’s the same as damaging oneself and adding to your body (image) something that God does not want there.
It also feels evil to me. After all there are people who have defects and accidents which cause these unshapely looks.
I don’t find them funny or humorous, I find it offensive. People putting dog noses on their Facebook profile pictures is very ridiculous looking and stupid indeed. Some women like putting on the floral head piece. Fine, put on a real one and take a picture then. At least that looks nice … and real.
It’s no better or different than body art. I know as well there are pagan references in regards to this matter.
This is not the new year. The year doesn’t begin anew until spring. God’s new year, the Passover.
If a product says it’s not a GMO product, it is. If a product says it’s made in the U.S., it wasn’t.
When our soldiers go into the field, it’s to mass murder and pillage for corporate tyranny. They don’t fight for us, they protect an ungodly way of life.
Recently I have read many upon many Scripture that we all ignore or forget about. These things I’ve stated are only few matters covered by those verses.
In my times of long suffering and overwhelming loss I was witness and victim to more reality and truth about this country, the church and the people in it than most dare to even ponder.
During those times I feared for my soul as much as for so many others. I’ve grown tired of trying to be a messenger. Nobody understands that the church alone is responsible for the foundation of a society. No one is willing to accept that the churches in this country are not being persecuted and shut down simply because they are not in the truth. They’re just like society, pagan and conformed to a false way of life, a counterfeit Christianity. A cult of Christianity.
Idolatry and fake government has us so badly divided. Protection racket law enforcement has us fearing the wrong things and trusting the wrong people.
Protesting and letter writing, town meetings and voting are false means for making change. They are deceptive methods of a system created and designed specifically to keep us from going to God and ourselves for self sufficiency …
When this nation was invaded by Columbus and his slave trade ships they started calling it the New World …
Think about that. The last days have been around for centuries. There are only a small number of truly godly hearted people left in this country keeping from being fried.
We should all endeavor to be counted as one of them …
“Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have. For He Himself has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” So we may boldly say: “The LORD is my helper; I will not fear. What can man do to me?”
Here are earnest exhortations to several Christian duties, especially contentment. The sin opposed to this grace and duty is covetousness, an over-eager desire for the wealth of this world, with envy of those who have more than ourselves.
Having treasures in heaven, we may be content with moderate things here. Those who cannot be so would not be content though God raised their condition.
Adam was in paradise yet not content; some angels in heaven were not content; but the apostle Paul, though abased and empty, had learned in every state, in any state, to be content.
Christians have reason to be content with their present lot. This promise contains the sum and substance of all the promises; I will never, no, never leave thee, no, never forsake thee.
In the original there are no less than five negatives put together, to confirm the promise: the true believer shall have the gracious presence of God with him in life, at death, and forever. Men can do nothing against God and God can make all that men do against His people, to turn to their good.
“And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work.”
2 Corinthians 9:8
Not the large, anybody come community meals and these organized, regulated systems of handouts. That does more to enable the users than helping the genuine needy …
Money bestowed in charity, may to the carnal mind seem thrown away, but when given from proper principles, it is seed sown, from which a valuable increase may be expected.
It should be given carefully. Works of charity, like other good works, should be done with thought and design. Due thought, as to our circumstances, and those we are about to relieve, will direct our gifts for charitable uses.
Help should be given freely, be it more or less; not grudgingly, but cheerfully.
While some scatter, and yet increase; others withhold more than is fitting, and it tends to poverty.
If we had more faith and love, we should waste less on ourselves, and sow more in hope of a plentiful increase.
Can a man lose by doing that with which God is pleased?
He is able to make all grace abound towards us, and to abound in us; to give a large increase of spiritual and of temporal good things. He can make us to have enough in all things; and to be content with what we have.
God gives not only enough for ourselves, but that also wherewith we may supply the wants of others, and this should be as seed to be sown.
We must show the reality of our subjection to the gospel, by works of charity. This will be for the credit of our profession, and to the praise and glory of God.
Let us endeavor to copy the example of Christ, being unwearied in doing good, and deeming it more blessed to give than to receive.
Blessed be God for the unspeakable gift of His grace, whereby He enables and inclines some of His people to bestow upon others, and others to be grateful for it; and blessed be his glorious name to all eternity, for Jesus Christ, that inestimable gift of His love, through whom this and every other good thing, pertaining to life and godliness, are freely given unto us, beyond all expression, measure, or bounds.
“Buy the truth, and do not sell it, Also wisdom and instruction and understanding”
Truth is that by which the heart must be guided and governed, for without truth there is no goodness; no regular practices without right principles. It is by the power of truth, known and believed, that we must be kept back from sin and constrained to spiritual duty. The understanding must be well informed with wisdom and instruction, and therefore, we must buy it, that is, be willing to part with any thing for it.
He does not say at what rate we must buy it, because we cannot buy it too dear, but must have it at any rate; whatever it costs us, we shall not repent the bargain. When we are at expense for the means of knowledge, and resolved not to starve so good a cause, then we buy the truth. Riches should be employed for the getting of knowledge, rather than knowledge for the getting of riches.
“Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth”
2 Timothy 2:15
When we are at pains in searching after truth, that we may come to the knowledge of it and may distinguish between it and error, then we buy it.
“Dii laboribus omnia vendunt” – Heaven concedes every thing to the laborious.
When we choose rather to suffer loss in our temporal interest than to deny or neglect the truth they we buy it; and it is a pearl of such great price that we must be willing to part with all to purchase it, must make shipwreck of estate, trade, preferment, rather than of faith and a good conscience.
We must not sell it. Do not part with it for pleasures, honours, riches, any things in this world. Do not neglect the study of it, nor throw off the profession of it, nor revolt from under the dominion of it, for the getting or saving of any secular interest whatsoever. Hold fast the form of sound words, and never let it go upon any terms.
Many of us will study and research truth, history, government deception and only go so far before they decide thats enough. Then they begin to deny when they are given new knowledge instead of embracing it. I know this feeling of not wanting to know all too well. However I cannot simply ignore truth or logic, or turn off my discernment the way many seem so easily able to do.
When you seek the truth with a genuine heart for it and also attempt to share it, you find trial, struggle and persecution (most especially from the church) even if you’re not willing or expecting. It simply comes with the territory …
