“Then Jesus went out from there and departed to the region of Tyre and Sidon. And behold, a woman of Canaan came from that region and cried out to Him, saying, “Have mercy on me, O Lord, Son of David! My daughter is severely demon-possessed.” But He answered her not a word. And His disciples came and urged Him, saying, “Send her away, for she cries out after us.”
“But He answered and said, “I was not sent except to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.” Then she came and worshiped Him, saying, “Lord, help me!” But He answered and said, “It is not good to take the children’s bread and throw it to the little dogs.” And she said, “Yes, Lord, yet even the little dogs eat the crumbs which fall from their masters’ table.”
“Then Jesus answered and said to her, “O woman, great is your faith! Let it be to you as you desire.” And her daughter was healed from that very hour.”
This is why society is overrun and manipulated by Zionism. The Jewish, like any culture or religion, is split. Hollywood, Sports (NBA), Holocaust propaganda … all controlled by the combined forces of Zionists, Freemasons, etc …
Their ungodly arrogance sourced from this test of someone’s faith …
“But He answered her not a word” This was done to test her faith, and that there might be exhibited to the apostles an example of the effect of persevering supplication.
The result shows that it was not unwillingness to aid her, or neglect of her. It was proper that the strength of her faith should be fully tried.
“But He answered and said, I am not sent” … This answer was made to the woman, not to the disciples.
The “lost sheep of the house of Israel” were the Jews. He came first to them. He came as their expected Messiah. He came to preach the gospel Himself to the Jews.
Afterward it was preached to the Gentiles, but the ministry of Jesus was confined almost entirely to the Jews.
“The children’s bread” The salvation provided for the Jews, who were termed the children of the kingdom. And cast it to the little dogs – to the curs; such the Gentiles were reputed by the Jewish people, and our Lord uses that form of speech which was common among his countrymen.
What terrible repulses right?! And yet she still perseveres and pursues His grace.
And she said, Truth, Lord … What you say is true.
Let the Jews have the chief benefit of thy ministry; but the dogs beneath the table eat the crumbs. “So let me be regarded as a dog, a pagan, as unworthy of everything. Yet grant one exertion of that almighty power displayed so signally among the Jews, and heal the despised daughter of a despised heathen mother.”
Great is thy faith, that is, thy trust, confidence.
The word here seems to include, also, the humility and perseverance manifested in pressing her suit. The daughter was healed then. Going home, she found her well and composed, Mark 7:30.
Of all graces, faith honors Christ most; therefore of all graces Christ honors faith most. However, this individual’s faith was shown by her actions …
What have you done (in truth and spirit) for God today? Or do live as the arrogant Jews an Gentile Pharisees?
